More than just real estate

Metro Milwaukee’s Weekend Festivals Guide, August 19-22

We all know there’s one day in the year where we’re all Irish, but this weekend you can celebrate being Irish (by blood or by spirit) four straight days! After you’ve shown some Celtic pride, mosey next door for a wine enthusiast’s dream festival, and if you’re looking for even more culture to pack into your weekend, there’s an art fest at the Domes that’s not to be missed. Check it all out in this weekend’s festival guide:

Thursday – Sunday

Irish Fest (Henry Maier Festival Park, Milwaukee)

The kids can get into the action in the Children’s Area where they can make crafts, play games, see live puppet shows and even play a round of miniature golf! Outside of the Children’s Area, the entire family will love visiting the Celtic Canines where you can see, pet and learn about nine different breeds of dog specific to Ireland.

Other highlights include daily parades, contests, sporting events, Sunday Mass, dozens of food vendors and of course beer!
