Southeast Wisconsin Skiing Hotspots
Hey, how about that heat wave out there? Ok, so it may not exactly feel tropical, but it’s still nice to be hovering around the 30s after toughing it through the long cold streak we’ve had recently in the area. Now that we’ve had a significant snowfall and the temperature is at a point where it’s safe to be outside for an extended period of time, why not hit the slopes and break out the skis?
Southeast Wisconsin has plenty of options for downhill skiing, snowboarding and cross-country skiing or snowshoeing, alike. See some great slopes and trails here:
Skiing/Snowboarding
Crystal Ridge Ski Area (Franklin) offers a ski hill closest to the city of Milwaukee, while Devil’s Head (Merrimac) is also ski-only. If you’re looking for slopes that offer both skiing and snowboarding, check out Sunburst Ski Area (Kewaskum), Wilmot Mountain Skiing Area (Wilmot), or head over to The Mountain Top Ski Hill (Lake Geneva) or take a drive to East Troy to the Alpine Ski Resort.
CROSS COUNTRY SKIING/SNOWSHOEING
