Metro Milwaukee’s Weekend Festival Preview – August 30-September 3

With Labor Day weekend just hours away, Metro Milwaukee is bursting with fun activities in the days ahead! Throw on your kilt, hop on your hog or take a stroll through Historic Downtown Cedarburg…. with an extra day tacked onto the weekend, you’ll have enough time to do all three! Milwaukee Rally (4 locations in Greater Milwaukee)

Bike enthusiasts, get ready for Milwaukee’s biggest bike rally this weekend. It’s four straight days of celebrating motorcycles of all shapes and sizes, including dealership parties, vendor malls, poker runs, the H.O.G. Parade of Flags and the Lite Bike Nite.

But that’s not all! You can expect musical entertainment at each of the various site of this event and keep the party going at any of the Bike Night block parties on Water Street, North Avenue and the Harley-Davidson Museum. The block parties will feature nightly food and drink specials, games, prizes, the Drive-In Bike Showcase and more!

Events run Thursday-Sunday from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. at four Milwaukee-area Harley Davidson dealerships: Milwaukee Harley-Davidson- 11310 W. Silver Spring Road, Hal’s Harley Davidson/Buell- 1925 S. Moorland Road in New Berlin, Suburban Motors Harley-Davidson- 139 N. Main St. in Thiensville and House of Harley-Davidson/Buell- 6221 W. Layton Ave.

Wisconsin Highland Games (Waukesha)

The Wisconsin Highland Games is a weekend of Celtic fun for the entire family, featuring plenty of exciting activities the entire weekend. Take in Scottish & Irish Heavy Athletics, Champion Supreme Pipes & Drums competitions, Highland Dancing competitions, Live traditional and contemporary Celtic music, Rugby tournaments, Scottish, Irish & American foods, St. Andrew’s Pub Tent, Longbow tournaments and free instruction,Battleaxe & knife throwing and more! The Games features a cultural Area, where festival goers can experience Celtic arts, crafts, history, and lore.

Where: 1000 Northview Road (Highway FT) Waukesha, Wisconsin

When: 5pm-10pm Friday, 9am-6pm Saturday and 10am-8pm Sunday

How Much?: $10 at the gate, $7 in advance – kids 12 and under are free!

Maxwell Street Days (Cedarburg)

A Cedarburg Volunteer Fire Department tradition for more than 40 years, this is the third Maxwell Street Day of the year. You’ll find close to 1,000 spaces filled with antiques, collectibles, crafts, produce, sports and rummage, plus food, beverages and music.

Where: Firemen’s Park-Washington Ave, Cedarburg

When: Sunday 7am-3pm

How Much: Admission is free!
