More than just real estate

Great news for the Southeast Wisconsin real estate market

A recent report by the Greater Milwaukee Association of REALTORS confirms the continued resurgence of Southeast Wisconsin’s real estate market. In April, home sales increased 44.2% in the Metropolitan Milwaukee area. April marked the 10th consecutive month that homes sales have increased in the area by double digits.

A mild winter, increased consumer confidence, historically low interest rates and low prices can all be credited for the pattern of recovery in Southeast Wisconsin’s housing market.

Spring is a busy time of year in the real estate market – it truly is a great time to buy or sell a home in Metro Milwaukee.

County-by-County Sales Analysis:

  • Milwaukee County was up 38.8% in sales over 2011 for April
  • Waukesha County was up 46.4% vs. April 2011
  • Washington County was up 68.8% compared to last year
  • Ozaukee County was also up 68.9% vs. April 201
