Just because Labor Day marked the unofficial end of summer doesn’t mean festival season is over in Metro Milwaukee. The forecast is calling for perfect weather to be outside and celebrate the upcoming autumn season, and you’ve got a few options to choose from – including the last “big” festival at Henry Maier Festival Park for the year. Indian Summer Festival – Henry Maier Festival Park, Milwaukee Friday-Sunday
The Indian Summer Festival is the Indian Nation’s largest cultural celebration, held right here in Milwaukee. This year, the festival will hold a special tribute called “Honoring Our Warriors,” recognizing all veterans, active military personnel and first responders. As always, the festival will feature a traditional Pow Wow, as well as fireworks, dance troupes, tribal villages, cultural demonstrations, storytellers and the Native American Music Awards Programs.
