We’ve reached the time where we don’t think twice about grabbing a jacket before leaving the house, and our once-free, sandal-adorned toes are back to being concealed by boots. Yes, fall is in full effect here in Southeast Wisconsin, so whether you’re driving about lake country or taking a hike to Holy Hill, make sure you get out in time to see the beautiful fall foliage before the leaves disappear and snow covers everything in sight.
Over much of Southeast Wisconsin, it’s just about peak color time. Most of the area will reach its peak in color in about 2-3 weeks, but if you look outside now, fall colors are already all around!
There’s not much better than going for an autumn drive or hike and taking in the sights of gorgeous red, orange, yellow and gold Wisconsin foliage. To see when your area will reach its peak coloring, (including recent photos), click here.
