This weekend has a couple big festivals scheduled, all along or near Milwaukee’s Lakefront. Whether you’re a connoisseur of the arts, a polka music enthusiast or an East Side hipster, you can’t complain about being bored with the lineup of fun festivals this weekend.
Here’s what’s on tap:
Polish Fest (Henry Maier Festival Park) Admission – $12.
You don’t have to be Polish to enjoy this always-lively festival. This year’s fest is packed to the brim with fun entertainment, including live bands (from polka to contemporary), folk art demonstrations, a cultural village, Polish art displays, cooking demonstrations and even vodka tastings! Don’t miss the Chopin Youth Piano Contest, held on Sunday at 12:30. To learn more about Polish fest, click here. (more…)
