Turkey Trots before the big feast

It’s the morning before your long-awaited Thanksgiving meal. You’re drooling over the heaps of turkey, stuffing, potatoes and pie that will be piling upon your plate in just a matter of hours. But with all that delicious food comes a few hundred extra calories more than you’re used to shoving into your belly. Why not make Thanksgiving a little more guilt-free by participating in an area Turkey Trot?

The Turkey Trot, itself, is a longstanding tradition in the United States. The first Turkey Trot was established in Buffalo, New York, in 1896 and is the oldest continually running public footrace in North America. While we may not have the oldest Turkey Trot in the country, we do have a couple events in the area to get your heart pumping and burn off some extra calories before the big feast. Homebuyers tax credit extended and expanded

Great news for potential homebuyers!  Today, President Obama signed into law the Unemployment Compensation Extension Act (H.R. 3548) that included, as an amendment, the extension and expansion of the Homebuyer Tax Credit, which was to expire on November 30th. (more…)
