Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage: Making a Difference

Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage is proud to announce our $25,000 pledge to the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Eastern Wisconsin. The pledge is part of the Ronald McDonald House’s ‘Opening More Doors’ Campaign which will assist in the expansion and remodel of the Ronald McDonald House adding 37 guest rooms to bring the total number to 75. The Ronald McDonald House is “dedicated to easing the burden of families whose lives have been disrupted as a result of their child’s illness or injury. We provide a home away from home and caring outreach initiatives” and Coldwell Banker is excited to support this initiative.

Well, after spending time playing and pretending in The Real Estate Office, an exciting exhibit that’s back at the Betty Brinn Children’s Museum after three very successful runs in 2010, 2011 and 2012 your child may just add “Realtor” to their list.


10 Ways to Beat the Summer Heat

You don’t need us to tell you it’s hot out there. With temps in the 90s, high humidity and whipping winds, it feels like an oven outside! If you’ve got central air at home (luck you!), stay inside and bask in the cool, dry air. If not, we’ve got 10 tips to help you beat the heat this week.

Block the sun.  You can block out some of the sun’s heat by closing all your curtains and blinds around the house during the day. This can reduce the amount of heat that passes into your home by as much as 45 percent, according to the U.S. Department of Energy.

Fan strategically. Try ventilating your home at night by installing a window fan and making sure the blades face outside to suck warm air outside of the house while pulling cool air in. (more…)

PrideFest – Friday-Sunday, Milwaukee

PrideFest may first and foremost celebrate the LGBT community, but it’s really about acceptance to all groups. The always-entertaining festival, which will be celebrating its 25th year, attracts thousands each year, both gay and straight, and has a lineup of big-name stars performing throughout the weekend. Milwaukee Brewers fun facts

For the first time since 1982, our Milwaukee Brewers have clinched the National League Central Division and are headed to the playoffs! It’s been a remarkable season for the Brewers, breaking records left and right (including most wins in franchise history) and the whole city seems like it’s frenzied with Brewers Fever.
